Swimrun weekend
The penultimate race of ÖTILLÖ Swimrun World Series
This team sport is based on two persons travelling through nature and time, completely dependent on each other. The team alternates between running and swimming along a premarked course in nature. It can be between islands or between lakes
The course in Cannes will be challenging and fun with two big hills, single track trails, amazing views and beautiful water to swim in. Starting inside the fort on the island of Sainte-Marguerite, participants will run a loop to the east along a beautiful trail before swimming to the monastery island of Ile Saint-Honorat. After running around this magical island with beautiful vineyards and architecture they will do the crystal clear swim back to the island of Ile Sainte-Marguerite.
There, another run before a long swim all the way to the famous La Croisette, before climbing a big hill and a run through the old town. An abandoned train track will bring them to the top of another big hill before finishing down in beautiful Cannes again.
A total of 36.8km, of which 28.4km are running and 8.4km are swimming. A total of nine swims.
